BEFORE
U.S. Boatworks reached out to MAC Street Industrial, requesting a bid for a roof replacement of the Mod-Bit roof section on their building. They were experiencing many leaks throughout the building, and the current roof system was far beyond repair.
While MAC Street Industrial proceeded with submitting an estimate, we informed the client that their building was within the range of a large hail storm, and might have insurance-covered damage. Upon a comprehensive roof inspection, we discovered extensive hail damage on the Mod-Bit membrane throughout the roof.

We assisted the client with the insurance claim procedure, provided supporting evidence of the present storm damage, and worked with the insurance carrier to ensure a fair and complete scope of work.
In the end, our client received an approved insurance claim that covered the necessary scope of work. After tearing off the several old roofs, we installed a new TPO roof system with upgraded insulation- all through insurance proceeds. The client paid nothing out of pocket, besides the claim deductible.
Because the client received a claim-covered roof replacement, we saved them the large cost they were prepared to pay out of pocket initially.

Our client’s building had a Mod-Bit (modified bitumen) roof system that was beyond the end of its life. They were experiencing extensive leaking throughout the whole building, which directly impacted their business operations.
They proceeded with requesting estimates from several contractors, including MAC Street Industrial.
Upon meeting with the client, and performing an inspection of their roof system, we informed U.S. Boatworks that they may have insurance-covered hail damage.

Even though U.S. Boatworks was prepared to pay the large sum necessary for a roof replacement out of pocket, the client followed our advice and filed the insurance claim.
After reviewing the insurance policy, we determined that our client could obtain a full roof replacement along with the necessary code upgrades through insurance proceeds, so we moved forward and worked with the insurance company to ensure a successful outcome for our client.
We assembled storm reports and verified hail damage to support the necessary scope of work. MAC Street Industrial worked closely with the insurance adjuster to assist with claim approval, arriving at a fair and complete claim settlement that covered the damage on the Mod-Bit system, including the necessary code upgrades. With these proceeds, we were enabled to provide the client with a higher quality TPO roof system, along with upgraded ISO insulation. The upgraded insulation provides improved energy efficiency, and helps the building temperature remain stable in all seasons.
MAC Street Industrial completed tearing off the multiple roofs present on the building, while working with the client to minimize impact to their business operations. We installed ISO insulation with a fully-adhered TPO roof system; thus improving the building’s R-value, wind-resistance, energy efficiency, and hail impact durability.
Our client succeeded in obtaining an upgraded top-tier roof system, and saved hundreds of thousands through the insurance claim. In the end, the client paid nothing out of pocket, besides the claim deductible. We enjoyed working with our client to provide a solution that saved them from paying out of pocket for their new roof system.
